Today, all of us that make 3DStream (a branch of 3DWizz LLC) possible are very excited, as we just watched a full movie that was streamed from a live TV channel in full side by side mode!
We even had commercial breaks in full SBS format! What an experience!
In order to fully test our system, we streamed from an HDMI encoder right into our processing server using RTMP (Real Time Media Protocol), which processed the feed (stream) and then sent the resulting 3D SBS stream to our CDN (Content Delivery Network). We had 3 Android TV boxes plugged in using VPNs to force our connections to different servers around the globe. One went straight into France’s server, another one was connected to a server in Brasil and the third one was hooked to our processing server directly.
Even though we had a small delay when watching from the server in France or in Brasil, it wasn’t over 5 seconds, which is truly amazing.
We are looking forward to have more 3D enthusiasts streaming through our system and providing feedback!
